Frequently asked questions

Coverage, scope, and how we work with commercial teams. Open a question for the short answer.
What is Autopilot?

Autopilot is managed monitoring and managed support for applications that need it. Bring the systems you already run, or we build monitoring for them. People and advanced tooling detect, alert, and triage. You resolve the incident from there. See how we work for the full operating model.

How is this different from the monitoring you already pay for?

Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, Grafana, Better Stack, and similar tools can stay. We run detection, alerting, and the hygiene that keeps them matched to traffic. That is the managed monitoring and managed support layer: a light SRE / managed NOC operation, not another dashboard seat. Your team receives one triaged incident, in one brief. See bring your own monitoring for how BYO coverage works.

How is this different from artificial intelligence (AI) incident tools?

Advanced tooling, including AI, is how the operation runs. Someone still has to tune it to live traffic, decide what is noise, and keep that judgment current. We own that work as managed support. Your team receives an incident that is already triaged and ready to resolve. We do not sell a DIY incident tool.

What hours do you cover?

We cover United Kingdom (UK) business hours by default. Critical adds extended and around-the-clock coverage, once we have proved the runbooks and escalation. We do not sell overnight cover on day one without a drill. Coverage windows are set in discovery on the engage page.

Can I keep Datadog, New Relic, or similar monitoring?

Yes. Bring Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar, and we run the operating layer. Or we stand up monitoring if you are starting fresh. Either way you get one managed monitoring operation: detection, tuning, and triage. You receive the incident ready to resolve. Read more on bring your own monitoring.

What is included, and what is not?

Included:

  • Service inventory and access
  • Monitoring, or operating the monitoring you already run
  • Tuning, and filters kept matched to traffic
  • Tiered escalation
  • Incident triage written for the people who resolve it
  • Handover of the incident
  • A monthly reliability report

The Ops package also includes a small allowance for minor fixes.

Not included unless the contract adds them:

  • An unbounded helpdesk
  • Major feature work
  • A full compliance programme
  • Security-breach forensics

Package shapes and discovery live on Engage with us.

How long until go-live?

Go-live takes 2 to 3 weeks. The path runs through discovery, access and checks, communications and escalation, runbooks, and a drill. You sign coverage at the end. You can start with a reliability audit or a shadow pilot before a full retainer. The how we work page walks through each step.

Can you support enterprise procurement?

Yes, for Critical and for longer engagements. When you need them, we provide:

  • A master services agreement (MSA)
  • A data processing agreement (DPA)
  • Insurance evidence
  • Security questionnaires

The contract covers operational data. This site’s privacy notice does not. Start with a discovery conversation on Engage with us.

Why is there no public price list?

Managed monitoring and managed support retainers are scoped to your estate, coverage window, and tooling. Scope has to match price. We quote after discovery. There is no self-serve checkout and no published price matrix. Request discovery on Engage with us.
